چکیده

We construct and we analyze two LBM schemes build on the D1Q2 lattice to solve the 1D (linear) convectiondiffusion equation. We obtain these LBM schemes by showing that the 1D convection-diffusion equation is the fluid limit of a discrete velocity kinetic system. Then, we show in the periodic case that these LBM schemes are equivalent to a finite difference type scheme named LFCCDF scheme. This allows us, firstly, to prove the convergence in L∞ of these schemes, and to obtain discrete maximum principles for any time step in the case of the 1D diffusion equation with different boundary conditions. Secondly, this allows us to obtain most of these results for the Du Fort-Frankel scheme for a particular choice of the first iterate. We also underline that these LBM schemes can be applied to the (linear) advection equation and we obtain a stability result in L∞ under a classical CFL condition. Moreover, by proposing a probabilistic interpretation of these LBM schemes, we also obtain Monte-Carlo algorithms which approach the 1D (linear) diffusion equation. At last, we present numerical applications justifying these results.

Introduced a Modified Set of Boundary Condition of Lattice Boltzmann Method Based on Bennett extension in Presence of Buoyancy Term Considering Variable Diffusion Coefficients

Various numerical boundary condition methods have been proposed to simulate various aspects of the no-slip wall condition using the Lattice Boltzmann Method. In this paper, a new boundary condition scheme is developed to model the no-slip wall condition in the presence of the body force term near the wall which is based on the Bennett extension. The error related to the new model is smaller tha...

L2 Convergence of the Lattice BoltzmannMethod for OneDimensional Convection-Diffusion-Reaction Equations

Combining asymptotic analysis and weighted L2 stability estimates, the convergence of lattice Boltzmann methods for the approximation of 1D convectiondiffusion-reaction equations is proved. Unlike previous approaches, the proof does not require transformations to equivalent macroscopic equations. AMS subject classifications: 65, 41, 76, 35
